Summer-flowering bulbs
Summer-flowering bulbs originally come from sub-tropical regions, such as South Africa and South America.

Summer-flowering bulbs provide your summer plantations with variety, consistency and unique colours with long flowering periods. Generally speaking, summer-flowering bulbs fall within the class of flower bulbs that are not hardy and, therefore, must be planted in spring. The bulbs begin their growing process only once the soil temperature has reached a sufficient level (>13º Celsius). There is therefore nothing to be gained from planting too early.

You can combine summer-flowering bulbs with annual ones marvelously in summer beds and in planters. Verver Export uses them in its Summer Tram designs. In addition, summer-flowering bulbs provide added value to perennial plant borders.
