A surprising effect!
The effect of summer-flowering bulbs in green areas is very often under-estimated. By planting only a few bulbs and tubers, you will create a marvellous surprise that will bloom as it becomes hotter.
The best-known summer bulb is, of course, the Dahlia, which provides a lot of colour and a very long flowering period. However, you should not disregard the effect of Lillies and Crocosmias, for example. These two plants are also hardy meaning that, in reality, they behave more like spring-flowering bulbs.
