Bulbs love the cold

A few weeks ago we proudly showed you the upcome of a few early narcisses in the Netherlands. Unfortunately these early ones had to pay the price for their impatience. The sudden and unexpected arrival of Mr Winter really surprised them; they are freezing now. But these daredevils will survive, the flower bulbs for sure.

There might be a little chance that the flowers will be slightly damaged but the flower bulbs underneath the ground will not be affected at all. In fact, flower bulbs love the cold. If not they would have grown in the hot and steamy deserts...but they are not to be found out there.

Floriade 2012 with Verver Export!

Verver Export will be taking part at Floriade 2012, the World Horticultural Exhibition which takes place every 10 years in the Netherlands.

Verver Export's garden (number 3) can be found in the Environment section, where you will discover how flowers, plants, trees, vegetables and fruits in your local environment can directly improve your everyday life. A visit will make you realise just how important a role nature plays in an urban area. Indoors and outdoors, at home and at work.

Our exhibition garden blends flowers bulbs and perennial plants under the theme of 'meeting spaces'. Who wouldn't want to have their meetings outdoors?
